How to Bring More Love Into Your Home This Valentine’s Day with Feng Shui

Valentine's Day is around the corner, and while we all think about roses, chocolates, and romantic dinners,  how about bringing in something a little more permanent—how to bring love into your home all year long. When it comes to energy in the home, you want it lasting, thriving, and supportive, just like the love you deserve.

Here’s the good news: Feng Shui is a powerful tool to help you harness that loving, romantic energy and invite it into your home. I’m talking about creating a space where love, connection, and harmony are nurtured, whether you're single and ready to mingle, in a relationship, or simply wanting to boost self-love.

1. Clear the Clutter in the Love Corner

In Feng Shui, your relationship energy is connected to two areas within the home, the South-East corner of your home (known as the relationship corner, or the love corner in the Bagua map) and also the bedroom. If you’ve got a pile of washing or lots of clutter, you’re essentially blocking the flow of love in your life. Take a few minutes to declutter and create space for positive energy. Trust me, your heart (and your relationship) will thank you.

2. Add Some Peonies

In Feng Shui, the peony is a symbol of love, beauty, and passion. An image of a pair of peonies is perfect to bring in feelings of romance and affection and this image can stay the whole year round. If you are able to buy real peonies from the local flower shop, then the real thing will also work wonders.  Artificial flowers in Feng Shui are a huge No No as it can bring in fake energy into a space!  Place the image of the peonies in your relationship corner (South East) or in your bedroom to invite loving energy into your home.

3. Use Pairs to Symbolise Partnership

If you’re looking to attract a loving relationship, or to nurture the one you’ve already got, incorporate pairs of objects throughout your home such as two candles, two chairs, or a matching set of artwork. In Feng Shui, pairs symbolise balance and harmony—just like a healthy relationship!

4. Mirror, Mirror, on the Wall…

Avoid placing mirrors where they reflect your bed, as this can invite unnecessary distractions in your relationship and we don’t want that!

5. Use Soft Lighting

Harsh lights can drain the mood, but warm, soft lighting creates a calming, intimate atmosphere.  So set the mood with dim lights, candles, or a few beautiful lamps around the home. Ensure that table lamps in the bedroom are matching to keep the energy balanced.

6. Incorporate the Colour Red (But Sparingly!)

The colour red is linked to love, passion, and good fortune in Feng Shui, but too much red can create to much fiery energy that’s hard to manage. Use red thoughtfully—perhaps in cushions, artwork, or a rug in your love corner which is the south east of your home. A touch of red is a beautiful way to ignite the spark. Juts don’t use too much!

By incorporating these simple Feng Shui adjustments into your home, you’ll be creating an environment that not only supports love and romance this Valentine’s Day but nurtures it all year round. A few small changes can lead to big transformations in how you feel about your space, your relationships, and most importantly—yourself.

💕 Happy Valentine’s Day!
